Cheesecake – A Sumptuous Treat!

 

What can be more delicious to the taste than having a slice of cheesecake? Can you count the ways why you love cheesecake recipes? Is it the mouthwatering sweet aroma that they offer? Is it the tasty crusts? Is it the fruity toppings? Or is it the smooth creamy filling?

Whatever the reason may be the blatant fact remains. Truly, cheesecake recipes are a sure hit to both kids and adults. It is of no doubt that cheesecake recipes are sumptuous treats. You love them, don’t you?

You may ask when do cheesecake recipes came into existence? Actually, the very first recorded cheesecake was during the 7th century in Greece.  This happened during an Olympic game. Since then, cheesecake recipes have spread from Greece to other European countries. Eventually, they also charmed North America when the immigrants transferred to different neighboring places. These immigrants have the faintest idea that their cheesecake recipes would eventually make it big across the globe.  Nowadays, cheesecake makes a multi-million industry.

The supple texture and availability of ingredients make cheesecake recipes easy to make. However, when you want them complicated or unique, you can have your intricate and distinct recipe. An individual can just stir in some of the basic cheesecake ingredients like cream cheese, eggs, and sugar. Then, the mixture is poured over a piecrust and baked.  Then, a tempting cheesecake is ready to tempt the entire household.

Mostly, cheesecake recipes are baked. Nonetheless, there are some that belies this process. In fact, you can have equally delicious no-bake cheesecake recipes. You do not believe it. Perhaps, you are accustomed to baking the cheesecake. Yes, it is the traditional way of doing cheesecake recipes. But you can at times think out of the box. 

Here is an example of a delicious no-bake cheesecake recipe…

No-Bake Cheesecake

Ingredients:

8 ounces cream cheese

1/3 cup melted butter

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup white sugar

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

2 teaspoons lemon juice

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 pint whipping cream (heavy)

1 can cherry pie filling


Procedure:

1. Stir together cinnamon, sugar and graham cracker crumbs in a bowl. Add in the melted butter. Mix. Press the mixture in a springform pan that measures 8 or 10 inch. Chill until it is stiff.

2. In a bowl, combine lemon juice and cream cheese. This should be done until the combination is soft. Then, add in whipping cream and beat the mixture until thick. Use an electric mixer in mixing it. Put sugar and continue stirring until stiff.

3. Pour the mixture into a cooled crust. Top it with cherry pie filling then refrigerate overnight. Remove the springform pan’s sides and serve the cheesecake. Makes 12 servings.

This recipe is deliciously amazing. However, bear in mind that it will not last long like other baked cheesecakes. Hence, you have to consume after a few hours of chilling or as soon as possible. Another, you can choose other flavors for the filling to have variations. You can also use fresh fruits as an alternative.

Cheesecake recipes can be both simple and challenging. However, whatever the process may be cheesecake will always taste heavenly. Aside from its delicious taste, cheesecake is also affordable. If you decide to bake, cheesecake is also easy to make. Now, you know why you love cheesecakes.
